| Don't miss out! Final days for a dazzling detail at 40% off |
| |
|
|
|
Boost your spirits this month with the gleaming sensation that comes with an inside-and-out detailing service from Star. And at 40 percent off, you'll be beaming all the way home.
Through February 28, the cost for our popular inside-and-out detailing package is $99 for cars and $139 for SUVS and vans.
We'll buff and polish the paint surfaces with a premium polish to remove light scratches, old wax, light tar and bugs. Then, we'll seal the paint surface with a polymer formula to provide long-lasting protection, and we'll clean the wheels and apply tire dressing.
On the inside, we'll steam clean and shampoo the carpeting, mats, upholstery and door panels to extract dirt and stains. We'll condition all vinyl and leather, and polish all glass inside and out. We'll finish the detail by cleaning the door jams and interior trim pieces.
The normal cost of this service is $169 for cars and $221 for SUVs.
Schedule today before we're all booked up!

| How do we stack up against the dealer in pricing? |
| |
|
|
In these challenging times, every dollar counts. And that's why we want to prove to you that Star
Auto Authority is the smartest value in auto service—not only for our quality and convenience but also for our pricing.
In response to customer requests, we set out on a mission to find out how much area dealers charge for routine maintenance and brake services and to see how we compare. We surveyed more than a dozen dealers about their costs, as well as loaners and shuttle rides, and we were pleased with the results. We think you will be, too.
This month, we present you with estimates for a Jeep Liberty, a Toyota Sienna and a Ford Focus.
Next month, we'll deliver the pricing scoop on three new vehicles, giving you the chance to see how we stack up in true apples-to-apples comparisons.

With 12 years of history and 214,000 miles on the clock, Gary Gunther of Mundelein has set a record for himself with his 1998 Cadillac DeVille. This is the longest he's ever owned a car, and for him, a lot of it is about the economics.
He tracks his maintenance costs meticulously, and even though he's invested nearly as much in service as he did in the purchase price, he says he's still saved about $20,000 compared to the cost of a new Cadillac.
Even though Cadillac has a long-standing image as a luxury carmaker, this DeVille has some utility, too. Gary has used it to tow trailers when moving his two daughters back and forth to college and when carrying props and supplies for the Kirk Players theater group. He's even used the car on occasion to haul lumber for the Kirk Players.
Of course, there's also a certain sentimental attachment to the car. "I love this car," Gary says. "It’s been a great car. If I were looking to buy a newer car, I’d consider getting one like this with fewer miles on it." (He'd think that one through twice, though, because of the trend toward smaller, more fuel efficient cars.) He has some time to make that decision. For now, he's enjoying the economics, utility and comfort of his Cadillac.
